Hillside Small Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role preferred.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats of varying sizes.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures.
• Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining weights and vital signs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry.
• Provide safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Keep exam rooms and spaces clean, organized, and fully prepared.
