Job summary

The Veterinary Assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital supports veterinarians and technicians to ensure safe, quality care for pets and a positive client experience. You’ll work closely with the hospital team, handle daily patient flow, and educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth flow of patients and assist veterinarians.
• Communicate with veterinarians and vet techs.
• Carry out procedures not requiring veterinarian or tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards for safety and cleanliness.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
