Job summary

North Elm Animal Hospital in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support exams, labs, and treatments. You’ll be the steady hand behind the scenes, helping doctors and technicians and ensuring visits run smoothly for pets and their people.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a veterinary setting and are comfortable with dogs and cats. Preferred are experience with restraint, lab prep, or surgical prep.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a veterinary setting.
• Comfort working around dogs and cats.
• Experience with patient restraint, lab work, or surgical prep (preferred).
• Interest in growing skills in veterinary medicine (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with exams, labs, and procedures to keep visits smooth.
• Support doctors and technicians; prep rooms and manage records.
• Keep appointments running on time and help nervous patients.
• Guide clients on home care and post-visit instructions.
