The ideal candidate has 1+ years of clinical veterinary experience, proficiency in anesthesia and dental procedures, and a compassionate, professional approach. Full-time schedule with a 4x10 workweek and no weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary assistant or related clinical experience preferred; training considered for right candidate
• Proficiency in anesthesia induction and monitoring
• Proficiency in dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
• Experience with cystocentesis and IV catheter placement
• Compassionate, professional communication with clients and team members

Responsibilities

• Split time between exam room, outpatient, and surgical caseload support
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures, including patient prep, setup, and recovery
• Perform anesthesia induction and monitoring as directed by the veterinary team
• Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
• Assist with cystocentesis, IV catheter placement, IV/IM injections, and microscope evaluation
• Provide safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Build positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
