Qualifications

• Prior veterinary or animal care experience is helpful but not required; training provided.
• Willingness to learn cleaning and disinfecting methods and the use and care of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Ability to appropriately handle and restrain animals.
• Ability to learn basic animal care, husbandry, and veterinary terminology.
• Ability to recognize abnormal conditions and communicate observations clearly to the team.
• Willingness to work a variety of hours including evenings, overnight, and weekends.
• Willingness to cross-train with the CSR department.
• Willingness to work at Castle Rock, CO location.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of hospital areas to ensure a clean, odor-free environment.
• Provide basic care for outpatient, boarding, and hospitalized animals including feeding, bathing, and kennels upkeep.
• Observe animals for signs of illness and report observations promptly.
• Restrain patients for procedures following safe handling protocols.
• Assist with imaging, ultrasounds, and radiographs once trained and badge is obtained.
• Assist CSR team with front desk duties and client care after training.
• Follow safety policies and participate in staff meetings and training.
