Job summary

Grayling Hospital for Animals in Grayling, MI is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited small animal hospital. We work with dogs and cats using modern diagnostic equipment and a collaborative team culture.

This role offers a schedule Monday through Friday, no weekends, with pay $15–$17 per hour based on experience and opportunities for growth within the Mission Pet Health network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in an animal hospital.
• Strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Providing essential patient care and assisting the medical team.
• Assisting with restraint, examinations, and treatments.
• Preparing patients for procedures and surgery as needed.
• Monitoring hospitalized and recovering patients.
• Maintaining clean, organized treatment areas and equipment.
• Communicating with clients and supporting education.
• Assisting with laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
