Advanced PetCare of Oakland in Clarkston, MI, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited, Fear-Free certified team. You will support exams, treatments, surgeries, and in-house diagnostics while delivering compassionate client communication.

With at least one year of experience, you are team-oriented, adaptable, and able to lift up to 40 lbs in a fast-paced environment. We offer a flexible schedule with limited Saturdays, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Passionate about animal care and high standard of patient care.
• Team-oriented and adaptable with excellent communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Monitor and care for hospitalized patients.
• Restrain and handle for exams, blood draws, and procedures.
• Perform in-house diagnostics (radiographs, bloodwork, fecal analysis).
• Administer medications under veterinary supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and areas.
• Provide compassionate client communication and education.
