Job summary
Bargersville Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Center in Franklin, IN, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team. Full-time, 4-day work week; responsibilities include supporting veterinarians, maintaining records, and assisting in surgeries while delivering compassionate care to pets and clients.
Ideal candidates have 1-2 years veterinary assistant experience, strong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to help receptionist duties.
Qualifications
- Veterinary assistant experience required; 1-2 years preferred.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Great communication skills.
- Works well on a team or independently.
- Willingness to assist in reception when needed.
- Previous customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, educate clients.
- Assist with hospital functions and maintain patient flow.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures per state Act.
- Communicate with clients about health concerns and Thrive Memberships.
- Maintain medical records with practice systems.
- Obtain health history and update medical charts.
- Maintain clean, sterile treatment areas and labs.
- Guide and support fellow team members.
