Job Description Summary: The Veterinary Assistant supports and assists veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients, and staff, and maintaining the quality of veterinary care.

Preferred Education/Licenses: Completion of a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education, training, and experience. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Preferred Experience: Ability to perform all skills required by NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant programs to aid practice efficiency.

A Day in the Life of a Banfield Veterinary Assistant: Providing professional, efficient, and exceptional service, ensuring client and pet comfort. Daily use of technical skills within state practice acts and NAVTA guidelines. Responsibilities include:

1. Helping maintain the flow of patients.
2. Communicating with veterinarians and vet techs.
