The Integrative Veterinary Clinic is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant!

The clinic specializes in providing high-quality veterinary care with a personalized approach, integrating traditional and alternative therapies such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, and ozone therapy. Led by experienced integrative veterinarians, we are a trusted destination for pet owners seeking comprehensive care.

Location: 504 IN-32, Westfield, IN 46074

Hours: Mon - Fri: 8am - 6pm; Sat: 8am - 12pm; Sun: Closed

Compensation: $16-$18/hr based on experience

We seek someone comfortable multitasking—assisting in veterinary duties and handling scheduling, client communication, and phone inquiries.

Job Summary

The Veterinary Assistant supports the medical team in accordance with MVP policies, providing medical care within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Uphold MVP's core values and mission.
• Assist in daily clinic operations.
• Participate in cleaning duties.
• Manage client care, including scheduling, payments, and check-ins.
• Maintain excellent communication with clients.
• Record medical and client information accurately.
• Review records and discharge instructions with clients.
• Answer phones courteously and informatively.
• Provide patient care under DVM supervision.
• Perform clinic and equipment maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in a veterinary setting.
• Management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing skills.
• Patience and composure in stressful situations.
• Ability to handle medical crises calmly and efficiently.
• Strong reasoning, memory, math, and language skills.
• Confidence around pets.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Endurance to work on hard surfaces and in noisy environments.
• Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch, and to various hazards.
• Sufficient ambulatory skills and visual acuity.
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
