A busy, AAHA-accredited veterinary practice is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of animal handling experience and a passion for compassionate care, thriving in a fast-paced environment with responsibilities ranging from patient handling to cleaning and facility sanitation.

Central Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our supportive and high-performing team. We are a busy, AAHA-accredited, 10-doctor practice serving dogs, cats, pocket pets, wildlife—and even the occasional goat or sheep!
$18 – $22/hour, based on experience and skill level
Clinic Hours:
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Sunday: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (emergencies only)
Weekend availability is required (2–3 weekends per month)
Veterinary Assistants are assigned to a doctor/technician team each day and are vital to our hospital’s flow and patient care. Duties include:
Patient handling & restraint (exams, procedures, therapies)
Assisting with diagnostics (radiographs, ultrasounds, etc.)
Client communication and room preparation
Cleaning, laundry, and facility sanitation
Kennel/boarding care, patient TLC, and enrichment
Treats and sweet talk — making patients and clients feel safe and welcome
Taking initiative to stay busy and keep the day running smoothly
Relaying messages accurately between clients and medical staff
AAHA-accredited hospital
10-doctor practice with a variety of services, including:
Orthopedic surgeries
Ultrasound and endoscopy
Oncology
We incorporate low-stress handling techniques whenever possible to provide the best patient experience
