Thrive Urgent Care in Torrance is hiring a Veterinary Assistant!

We opened in March 2022 and continue to grow! Our goal is to relieve pressure from local and busy ER hospitals, assist our referring veterinary community, and provide exceptional outpatient services to pets and their families. This position will make a positive impact on patients, clients, and veterinary colleagues' lives.

Requirements: Successful candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Experience in emergency or exotics is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate compassion and care for our clients' animals.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members and clients.
• Ability to multi-task, work well with others, and be self-motivated.
• Perform triage.
• Be highly skilled in technical work in a fast-paced veterinary setting.
• Proficient in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, digital radiography.
• Assist with anesthetic procedures as needed (e.g., urethral obstructions, laceration repairs).
• Value client education and assist with reception work when needed.

Hourly Wage: $20-$29/hour depending on experience and skillset.
