Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will support our veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians in providing outstanding patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with restraint and handling of feline and canine patients during exams and procedures
• Prepare exam rooms, surgical areas, and instruments
• Maintain cleanliness and sterility throughout the hospital
• Support patient preparation for surgery and monitor recovery under supervision
• Accurately update and maintain medical records
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinary team
• Assist with feeding, walking, and general care of hospitalized patients
• Communicate professionally with clients and assist with scheduling and check-in as needed
• Adhere to all safety and hospital protocols
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred
• Comfort and conSidence working with both cats and dogs
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
• A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a collaborative team
