Rockland Animal Hospital in Rockland, ME is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced team. This full-time position focuses on supporting veterinarians, educating clients, and ensuring compassionate care for every patient.

You’ll work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with Wednesdays off, and you’ll be integral to delivering quality veterinary services while growing your skills and building relationships with clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Obtain patient histories and communicate important information to the medical team.
• Assist with treatments, medication administration, and patient care.
• Educate clients about preventive care, medications, and treatment plans.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital and boarding environment.
• Properly restrain patients using compassionate handling techniques.
• Assist with laboratory sample collection and diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
