VCA Catoosa Animal Hospital in Ringgold, GA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team. You’ll help care for small animals, assist veterinarians and technicians, and support daily operations in a busy, full-service practice.

The ideal candidate loves animals, has good communication skills, and is ready to grow in a supportive environment that offers tuition assistance, generous benefits, and a strong team culture. Full-time with some weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Passion for animals and desire to learn.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and handling of patients, including feeding, cleaning, and walking as needed
• Support the veterinary team by assisting Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians with daily tasks and treatments
• Maintain clean and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and kennels
• Prepare exam rooms for patient visits and assist during exams and procedures as directed
• Ensure proper restraint of animals during exams or treatments
• Assist with patient intake and discharge, including reviewing take-home instructions
• Monitor and report changes in patients' condition to the veterinary team

Compensation: . The starting range for Veterinary Assistants is $15 - 16.50 and is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field.

What You'll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities):
