Job summary

Kings Row Pet Hospital in Reno, Nevada is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to support doctors and LVTs, assist with patient care, prepare exam and treatment areas, and help maintain a calm, efficient hospital. We value compassionate animal care, clear client communication, and a willingness to learn.

Base pay is $17-$22 per hour DOE, with eligibility for a sign-on bonus up to $500 and additional benefits. If you’re enthusiastic, organized, and ready to grow in veterinary medicine, we’d love to meet

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but candidates with a strong foundation and the right attitude will be considered.
• Strong communication with teammates and clients; ability to stay organized in a busy hospital.
• Willingness to learn and grow in veterinary medicine; asks questions when unsure.
• Attention to detail and initiative are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and LVTs with patient care
• Prepare exam and treatment areas

• Prepare patients and supplies for treatments and surgery

Our Veterinary Assistants are an important part of that team; supporting our doctors and LVTs, caring for patients, communicating with clients, and helping keep the hospital moving throughout the day.

What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll support patient care and hospital flow by:

• Assisting veterinarians and LVTs with patient care
• Preparing exam and treatment areas
• Helping with safe, compassionate patient handling and restraint

Compensation:

• Base hourly rate of $17-$22 DOE
• Eligible for periodic bonus
• Sign-on bonus of up to $500
