Position Overview
Veterinary Assistant – Full-Time
Wage: $18 - $20 per hour
Monday thru Friday Schedule – Rotating Saturdays in the future
As a Veterinary Assistant at Loudoun Veterinary Service, you’ll be an essential part of our team. Your role will include direct patient care, anesthesia monitoring, and assisting with a variety of surgical procedures. We’re looking for an assistant who enjoys a mix of surgery and client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic but essential clinical procedures.
- Assist surgery team in anesthetic monitoring.
- Take blood samples and set up lab equipment.
- Maintain prompt and accurate patient records.
- Provide client education and reassurance.
- Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of veterinary experience preferred.
- Reliable with minimal callouts.
- Willing to receive surgical training if not already performed.
- Proficient with blood draws and basic lab equipment.
- Comfortable restraining both cats and dogs.
- Cross‑trained or willing to cross‑train.
- Professional, team‑oriented, and drama‑free.
- Eager to learn, grow, and expand skills.

Clinic Hours
- Monday–Thursday: 8 AM – 6 PM
