Lafayette Animal Hospital is actively looking for an entry-level Technician Assistant. We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented individual who is willing to learn and grow. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and growing, and Lafayette Animal Hospital encourages its staff to do the same. Pay Range: $16 - $18 (based on experience)

Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:

1. Animal care: Assisting with restraint and handling during procedures, medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and preparing samples for lab exams.
2. Cleaning and maintenance: Cleaning/disinfecting cages, kennels, exam rooms; sterilizing instruments; maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Requirements:

• 1+ years in the veterinary industry (preferred)
• Tuesday - Saturday schedule (required)
• Belief in client education importance
• Compassionate towards patients and clients
• Motivated to learn new skills
• Positive, supportive team player
• Ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds alone and more with assistance
• Ability to stay focused and energetic throughout shifts

About the Hospital:

Lafayette Animal Hospital offers general, urgent, and emergency care. Operating hours are 8-6 Monday-Friday, 8-2 Saturday, closed Sundays.
