Our 2-doctor practice in Portsmouth, VA offers Primary Care, Illness Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and more. Our patients include dogs, cats, and exotic species.

We are open Monday, Thursday & Friday 8am - 5pm, Tuesday 8am - 7pm, Wednesday & Saturday 8am - 1pm, closed Sundays.

About the Role

As Veterinary Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:

• Compassionate patient care
• Client education and care
• Venipuncture and catheter placement
• Radiology and diagnostics
• Lab sample collection and processing
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Dentistry
• Medication preparation and administration
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Medical recordkeeping

Compensation for this role starts at $15-17/hour, depending on skills and experience.
