Job summary

VCA Laurelhurst Animal Hospital in Portland, OR is seeking a full-time veterinary technician or assistant to join a 7-doctor AAHA-accredited team. You will support doctors with venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, dentistry, and patient care, while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

  • FT experienced Technician or Veterinary Assistant with a passion for the human-animal bond.

Responsibilities

  • Assist DVMs with venipuncture, catheter placement and patient monitoring.
  • Perform radiology, anesthesia monitoring, and client education.
  • Support outpatient appointments and hospital rounds.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and assist during surgery.
  • Handle dentistry, lab work and pharmacy tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compassionate care for hospitalized patients and accurate record-keeping.

VCA Laurelhurst Animal Hospital is a growing and vibrant 7-doctor, AAHA accredited, small animal practice located in the Laurelhurst area of NE Portland. We have been serving the Laurelhurst community and surrounding area for many years. We are a fast-paced, modern, paperless hospital that provides wellness and preventative care, advanced nursing care, digital radiology, ultrasonography, surgery, dentistry, hospitalization, client education, and much more.

Schedule : FT Days 4/10s

Compensation : $ 21 - $ 26 / hr
