Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.

• Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can handle stressed, ill, or in-pain pets.
• Prefer 1+ years of experience, but not required.
• Ability to meet physical demands: lift/carry/restrain animals; able to lift 40 lbs.
• Walks or stands for extended periods; frequently in bent/squatting position.
• Experience with teamwork and collaborating with hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and treatment.
• Monitor hospitalized pets and aid in post-surgical care.
• Maintain inventory and stocking.
• Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims.
• Assist with routine diagnostic tests (radiographs, bloodwork, fecal).
• Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments/equipment.
• Clean/Disinfect cages, kennels, and treatment areas.
• Administer medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision.
• Feed/bathe animals.
• Answer phones and help clients with their pets.

• · Feeding/bathing animals
• · Answering phones
• · Helping clients with their pets
