National Veterinary Associates is seeking a veterinary assistant to support the care team.

You will assist with patient care, monitor hospitalized pets, maintain supplies, restrain animals during procedures, and help with diagnostics and medications under supervision. The role emphasizes teamwork and compassionate animal handling in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Self-starter, able to multitask and a team player.
• Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can handle them when stressed, ill, or in pain.
• Prefer 1+ years of experience, but not required.
• Ability to meet physical demands; lift up to 40 lbs and restrain animals with assistance.
• Willingness to work in a team across hospital staff.

• · Feeding/bathing animals
• · Answering phones
• · Helping clients with their pets

• · Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own.

• . Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.
