Locally, we refer after-hours emergencies to PETS (Pet Emergency Treatment Services), an overnight, weekend and holiday emergency hospital staffed by UF clinicians, residents, students, and staff.

Marion Veterinary Hospital is located in Ocala, the seat of Marion County, in north central Florida. We are the “Horse Capital of the World” and the countryside is filled with gently rolling hills and pastures. Gainesville is a short 45-minute drive, Orlando, and Tampa are just 90 minutes away, making them easily accessible with their international airports, shopping, dining and world-class entertainment and theme parks. Beaches on both the Gulf Coast and Atlantic Coast are accessible within a 2-hour drive, including the historical town of St. Augustine. Ocala is a great place to achieve work-life balance and call your home!
