Carr Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support both outpatient care and surgery.

We are seeking a versatile, skilled assistant who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment — balancing exam room care, surgical support, and client communication. We value experienced assistants for the hands‑on clinical skills, reliability, and genuine care they bring across all areas of the hospital. Exotic animal experience is a plus.

What You'll Do:

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Identify patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
• Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $17 - 20 per hour, for each hour worked (based on skills and credentials)
• This is afull-time position, working approximately 4.5 days per week, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday. No weekends and no on‑call requirements.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
