BluePearl Pet Hospital in Oak Creek, WI is hiring an extraordinary ER Veterinary Assistant!

VA I-II Pay: $18.45 - $27.35/Hr

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will:

1. Provide nursing care to patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
2. Report patient signalment, problem list, and plan during nursing rounds.
3. Understand classification of commonly used medications, associated side effects, and appropriately monitor therapeutic response.
4. Administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
5. Perform physical exams; accurately measure heart rate, pulse, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate, and effort.
6. Possess a working knowledge of anesthesia/monitoring equipment and assist with patients assigned ASA I or II classifications.
7. Remain current on R.E.C.O.V.E.R CPR guidelines and demonstrate proficiency in your designated role as assigned by attending clinician or supervisor.
