Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hudson Square is hiring both part-time and full-time Veterinary Assistants to join our experienced team in New York City. You will support veterinarians, technicians, and staff to ensure excellent animal care and customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Veterinary Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and vet techs during exams, treatments, and surgeries.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
• Perform basic lab tests such as blood, urine, and stool collection.
• Administer medications and vaccines under supervision.
• Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Communicate with pet owners about care, treatment plans and follow-ups.
• Keep the clinic clean and stocked for a safe, sanitary environment.

Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hudson Square is hiring a part-time and full-time Veterinary Assistant

to work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians, skilled technicians, and devoted support staff to ensure each animal receives the best possible care during their stay with us. Salary

$21- $30 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with shifts scheduled during the hospital’s operating hours of Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Saturday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries
