Job summary

Allianceanimalhealth is seeking an entry-level Veterinary Assistant to support daily operations in our hospital. You will stock, clean, and learn the hospital flow, progressing to animal restraint and assisting other staff as you grow.

Excellent customer service is essential when interacting with pets and owners. We offer training and development opportunities, with a schedule that supports growth and a pay rate starting at $15 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years old.
• 1 year veterinary experience preferred
• Avimark experience preferred
• Experience in AAHA-accredited hospital preferred

Responsibilities

• Stocking and cleaning the hospital.
• Assist with animal restraint and support staff.
• Interact with pets and their owners, providing strong customer service.
• Maintain a paperless practice using computer systems.
• Support hospital efficiency and safety through attention to detail.

Job description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Our Veterinary Assistants begin at an entry level position. A typical day requires lots of stocking and cleaning of the entire hospital. As the veterinary assistant learns the flow and ways of the hospital, progression to animal restraint and assisting of other support staff is required. You will at times also interact with pets and their owners; thus, customer service skills are key. You will work directly with the rest of our veterinary team to assure patients and clients receive the best care possible.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Schedule: Flexible scheduling (Monday through Thursday 7:00am - 7:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm), We are Closed on Weekends!!

Desired Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1-year experience preferred
• Flexible scheduling Monday through Friday
• A willingness to grow in the Veterinary field
• Avimark experience
• Experience working in an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital

Pay Range: Starting at $15/hr
