Grays Harbor Veterinary Services is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Montesano, WA. This full-time role offers a 5/8 schedule with Monday–Friday shifts and no weekends, supporting veterinarians and technicians in outpatient care including vaccines, blood draws, and exams.

You will help restrain animals, assist during procedures, keep exam rooms clean, and contribute to a friendly, efficient team environment while delivering compassionate care to our patients.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary assistant experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency in medical note taking, patient restraint, client communication, and SQ injections.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians with patient care.
• Restrain and handle animals during outpatient procedures such as exams, vaccines and blood draws.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and treatment areas, ensuring preparedness and efficiency.
• Support the team to maintain smooth workflow and patient comfort.

Grays Harbor Veterinary Service is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent position for candidates with foundational training who are looking to grow their career in veterinary medicine.

In this role, you will provide assistance to Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians, including gentle animal handling and restraint during outpatient procedures such as physical exams, vaccines, and blood draws. You will prepare and clean patient areas throughout the day including exam rooms and procedural/treatment areas, anticipating team needs and ensuring preparedness and efficiency.

This is an ideal position for efficient multi-taskers who enjoy a supportive role in a team-oriented environment!

This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday. No Weekends!

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

• Compensation: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current experience

Pay Range

$17.50 - $19 USD
