VCA Santa Anita Animal Hospital in Monrovia, CA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited practice. You will support doctors and technicians, ensure a low-stress environment, and deliver compassionate care to pets and clients.

The role requires performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, dentistry, and EMR maintenance, with a focus on client education and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Provide patient assessment and differentiate routine cases from urgent or emergency cases.
• Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement in a timely manner.
• Assist with radiology, dentistry, anesthesia and surgical preparation.
• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records.
• Educate clients and deliver compassionate care to pets and families.
• Help keep the hospital clean and well-maintained for patient comfort.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

This position pays $20.00-$25.00 dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.
