VCA Mission Animal Hospital in Alhambra, CA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The role supports veterinarians and technicians with nursing care, triage, diagnostics, and treatments in a busy, AAHA-accredited general practice.

You will monitor vital signs, assist with procedures, manage records, and communicate with clients while working a full-time schedule across weekdays and some weekend hours.

Qualifikationen

• Must have documented previous animal hospital experience.
• Hold a current California RVT license.
• Flexibility in hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computers.

• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients and support veterinarians with procedures.
• Assist with medical procedures, triage, diagnostics and treatments.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Catheter placement and venipuncture as needed.
• Assist with radiology and patient recovery.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Communicate with clients, load exam rooms and present estimates.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care.

VCA Mission Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited general practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team.

Salary: $ 18 - $ 22 / hour

Location: 25 W Mission Rd, Alhambra, CA 91801

Schedule: Full-time; the hospital is open Monday-Friday 7 am - 7 pm, Saturday 8 am - 4 pm, and Sunday, 2 hours for boarding

We are a 3-doctor practice open Monday-Friday 7:00 am-7:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
