Job Description

Veterinary Assistants play a vital role in our hospital, the foundation of which includes a friendly attitude and a self starting mindset. Some of the daily tasks are interacting with clients and their pets, cleaning, running diagnostic equipment, assisting the doctors, record keeping, and putting away inventory. We are looking for a punctual, friendly, compassionate person to help round out our team.

This position will be cross-trained to help reception, and have rotating kennel hours on some weekends - typically every 4-6 weeks.

The schedule for this position is still being crafted, but will equal around 34 hours per week. General start time is 7:45am and end time is 6-630pm. Wednesday nights until 8pm are required.

Qualifications
  • An experienced Veterinary Assistantwith a minimum of 1-year experience preferred
  • Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
  • Must be able to safely and calmly restrain pets.
  • Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, andanesthesia monitoring.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skill set.

Pay Range: Starting at $14/hour
