PRIOR VETERINARY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIREDWe are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented
Veterinary Assistant to support our expanding services and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional care. As a key member of our team, you'll assist with a wide variety of treatments and procedures while working closely with experienced doctors and technicians in a collaborative, supportive environment.
The ideal candidate is a strong multitasker with excellent communication and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. You should have a solid foundation in medical terminology, pharmacology, and preventative medicine.
Our full-service small animal practice offers a wide range of wellness, surgical, and diagnostic services, as well as grooming and boarding. We are proud to offer digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, in-house lab capabilities, and digital recordkeeping.

Conveniently located north of Atlanta with access to highways 400, 285, and 85. Close to Downtown Peachtree Corners, Norcross, Roswell, Dunwoody, and the Chattahoochee River.
CompensationStarting at $15-$18 per hour, depending on experience
Clinic HoursMonday through Friday: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: Closed

Job SummaryThe Veterinary Assistant supports the medical team by assisting with patient care, treatments, and clinic operations in accordance with hospital protocols and veterinary practice regulations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient environment while helping ensure each patient receives compassionate, high-quality care. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, works well in a team-focused setting, and is eager to learn and grow in a supportive clinical environment.
ResponsibilitiesHow you'll make an impact:- Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of MVP.
- Assist in all daily duties for clinic care.
- Participate in any special cleaning duties.
- Provide client care by scheduling appointments, taking payments, and check-ins.
- Maintain excellent client communication.
- Record all pertinent medical, client and case related information in the patient record accurately with appropriate grammar, terms, and accurate information.
- Review medical records, estimates or discharge instructions with clients.
- Answer the phones in a courteous and informative way.
- Provide patient care under the direction of a DVM.
QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Must be proficient in a variety of skills ranging from but not limited to laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental and nursing skills.
- Ability to demonstrate patience and composure in stressful situations, and ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.
- The employee must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently .
- The employee must also be confident around pets.
