All Creatures Animal Care Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support client and patient care across exams, surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role.
• Safe animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient care.
• Experience assisting with exams, treatments, surgery setup and assisting, radiology, and outpatient procedures.
• Phlebotomy, SQ injections, laboratory sample collection, and inpatient nursing care.
• Ability to collect patient histories, obtain weights and vital signs, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate communication with clients and team members, with a collaborative and dependable work ethic.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, stand for extended periods, and safely restrain patients.

Schedule And Compensation

Minimum Qualifications And Skill Set

• 1+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role preferred
• Proficiency in the following skills:
• Safe animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
• Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient care
• Experience assisting with exams, treatments, surgery setup and assisting, radiology, and outpatient procedures
• Proficiency in phlebotomy, SQ injections, laboratory sample collection, and inpatient nursing care
• Ability to collect patient histories, obtain weights and vital signs, and maintain accurate medical records
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate communication with clients and team members, with a collaborative and dependable work ethic

All Creatures Animal Care Center is an AAHA-accredited, mixed-animal practice and the only mixed-animal hospital serving six counties. Our recently remodeled hospital (2023) features advanced technology, including digital X-ray, digital dental radiographs, ultrasound, laser therapy, an in-house lab, endoscopy, and reproductive services. We're excited to be growing from a six-doctor practice to a seven-doctor team!
