Job description

Johnson Animal Clinic is a busy small animal clinic in Hikes Point seeking a Veterinary Assistant who enjoys a fast-paced environment. We are privately owned and take pride in our family-like atmosphere. We aspire to be a practice where, as a team, we make a positive impact on pet health care in our community.

Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Assisting doctors and technicians in exam rooms by safely holding pets, preparing prescriptions.
2. Minor reception work, including assisting the front desk staff by answering phones and checking in clients.
3. Providing excellent customer service, being pleasant, patient, courteous, and polite to clients and team members.
4. Cleaning all areas of the clinic, including kennels.
5. Willingness to learn and ability to lift and carry patients up to 50 lbs.
6. Must have reliable transportation. Previous experience is preferred.

We are seeking someone with a can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills. Experience is preferred.

Clinic hours: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm (closed 12:30-1:30 for lunch), Saturdays 8am-12pm. Closed most holidays (Christmas/Eve, Thanksgiving, New Year's, 4th July, Labor/Memorial Day).
