Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians to ensure high-quality pet care and maximize productivity.
• Communicate effectively with team members to maintain smooth workflow.
• Perform procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance and prepare for other procedures.
• Ensure the comfort and safety of clients and pets, monitor hospitalized or surgical pets, and maintain clean treatment areas.
• Educate clients on wellness plans, preventive care, and hospital services.
• Obtain and document relevant medical history from clients.
• Assist with surgical procedures as applicable.
• Utilize technical skills within state practice acts and NAVTA guidelines.
• Mentor other paraprofessionals as needed.
