  • Role: Veterinary Assistant
  • Status: Full-time

The Pet Doctor in Lakewood is looking to add a passionate animal lover to its team! The right person for the job should not only love animals, but enjoy staying busy, be highly motivated, able to multi-task and appreciate forming positive relationships with clients and co-workers. We are a small animal practice that promotes teamwork, personal growth, and providing high quality care to all our patients. We value work/life balance, so we are closed weekends! What You’ll Do:
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Safely restrain animals for examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and assist with basic patient care
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples as directed
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
  • Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
  • Communicate professionally with pet owners and assist with client education
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinic environment
What We’re Looking For:
  • 1+ years of Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary clinic experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
