AtKennesaw Mountain Animal Hospital in Kennesaw, GA is seeking a dependable veterinary assistant or technician for a part-time role. You will help with exams, imaging, surgeries, lab work, and everyday patient care while maintaining stress-free handling and compassionate client communication.

Requirements include a minimum of two years' experience, eligibility for registration as a veterinary technician, strong documentation, and the ability to work Saturdays.

Our 11,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility houses a 5,000 sq. ft. full-care hospital located on our upper level, a 5,000 sq. ft. Pet Resort located on our lower level, and an additional 1,000 sq. ft. on our top floor dedicated to continuing education for both staff and clients. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-years’ experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician.
• Experience in exam rooms, treatment/ICU area, surgery, dentals and their associated technical skills are a must.

• Empathy and compassion for our patients and their owners is a must.
• We prefer a Registered or Licensed Veterinary Technician, however, a Veterinary Assistant with extensive experience and appropriate skill sets will be considered.

Additional Information

Pay Range:$15-$21/hr

Job Type:Part-time; including two Saturdays a month.
