Veterinary Assistant at Banfield is a vital role in providing exceptional veterinary care across hospitals, communities, and the broader field of veterinary medicine. Through compassionate communication and a commitment to preventive care, you will support veterinarians, educate clients, and maintain high‑quality patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and advocate for pets.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state veterinary practice acts for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and recommend Optimum Wellness Plan options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining comprehensive medical records, including use of Banfield’s database and PetWare.
• Perform safe restraining techniques and maintain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and laboratories.
• Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT).
• Hands‑on experience as a veterinary technician.
