Love animals and want to make a difference in their lives? Huntsville Animal Clinic is on the lookout for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Huntsville, AL 35801. As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll be a key player in providing top-notch care to our furry patients and their owners.

What You'll Be Doing

• Helping veterinarians with animal restraint during exams and procedures
• Getting surgical instruments and equipment ready for procedures
• Caring for small animals before, during, and after medical treatments
• Teaching clients about proper pet care and treatment plans
• Keeping an eye on anesthesia and patient vital signs during surgeries
• Using fear-free techniques to keep patients comfortable
• Performing laser therapy and assisting with surgical monitoring
• Giving fluid therapy and helping with patient recovery
• Using digital radiography and AVImark software for patient records
• Doing fecal flotation tests and heartworm tests
• Keeping kennel areas clean and helping with preventive care
