Job summary

Hampstead Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Technician Assistant to join our compassionate team. You’ll assist veterinarians and technicians, restrain patients with low-stress handling, and maintain accurate records in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Safely restrain patients using compassionate, low-stress handling techniques.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform venipuncture, laboratory sample collection, and other technical procedures appropriate to your experience.
  • Monitor patients and provide attentive nursing care throughout their visit.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
  • Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and discharge instructions.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment.
  • Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care every day.

Role: Experienced Technician Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Four days per week - must include a rotation of every other weekend (Sat and Sun)
