Job summary

Copper Basin Animal Hospital is seeking a veterinary assistant to join their collaborative team. You will support veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures, and help maintain a clean, organized clinic.

Candidates should have experience as a veterinary technician or assistant, strong animal handling skills, and solid knowledge of clinical procedures. Certification (CVT/RVT/LVT) is preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• CVT, RVT, or LVT certification preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
