Bexley Animal Hospital in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support client and patient experiences across hospital care.

The role offers variety across patient care, surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures, with a focus on safety, precise record-keeping, and compassionate client education. This is a full-time or part-time position with Monday-Wednesday and Friday availability; weekends are not required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel assistant, or related role.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient care principles.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures.
• Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining patient weights and vital signs (preferred).
• Ability to maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Bexley Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for our clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care.

In this position, you will take an active role in:

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry

Schedule And Compensation

• Compensation: $16 - $17 per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a full-time or part-time position, with availability needed Monday-Wednesday, and Friday. No weekends! Because of our staffing needs, we are not able to offer scheduling around other employment or academic commitments.

Minimum Qualifications And Skill Set

• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel assistant, or related role
