Job summary

Fourmile Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. You will help during examinations, treat and restrain animals, and maintain clean exam rooms and surgical areas to uphold our high standards of animal care and customer service.

The role involves basic lab work, medication administration under supervision, and clear communication with pet owners about care plans and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of veterinary assistant experience.
• Technical know-how for disinfection, medication administration, and using diagnostic equipment.
• Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries

• Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samples

• Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ care, treatment plans, and follow-up visits

Veterinary Assistant

Fourmile Veterinary Clinic is hiring a full-time Vet Assistant to work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians, skilled technicians, and devoted support staff to ensure each animal receives the best possible care during their stay with us. If you are enthusiastic, reliable, and excited about helping us maintain our high standards of animal care and customer service, we would love to hear from you!

Salary: $15.75-$17/hr. based on experience and skill set.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:45a-5:30pm, 4-day work week, closed weekends

Key Responsibilities:
