Job summary

Fourmile Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Vet Assistant to join our team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. You will assist during exams, treatments, and surgeries, handle and restrain animals, and help maintain a clean, safe clinic.

Excellent communication with pet owners and precise record-keeping are essential. We offer a Monday–Friday schedule, a 4‑day work week, and a focus on high standards of animal care and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary assistant experience.
• Technical know‑how for disinfection, medication administration, and use of diagnostic equipment.
• Physical ability to safely and compassionately handle animals.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with care.
• Prepare examination rooms and steri­lize equipment.
• Perform basic lab tests and collect samples.
• Administer medications and vaccines under supervision.
• Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Communicate care plans with pet owners.
• Keep the clinic clean and stocked, ensuring safety and sanitation.

Fourmile Veterinary Clinic is hiring a full-time Vet Assistant to work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians, skilled technicians, and devoted support staff to ensure each animal receives the best possible care during their stay with us. Salary: $15.75-$17/hr. based on experience and skill set.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:45a-5:30pm, 4-day work week, closed weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
• Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samples
• Administer medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarian
• Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ care, treatment plans, and follow-up visits
• Clean and maintain the clinic, including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment

Qualifications:
