Livewell Animal Hospital in Chevy Chase, MD, is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to join our small but dedicated team in a collaborative, patient-centered practice.

This full-time or part-time role offers a competitive hourly rate of $22–$26 based on experience and a 4-day work week with rotating Saturdays or a part-time schedule until 2pm. You will assist with clinical tasks, client communication, and daily hospital operations to uphold our high standards of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced environments.
• Confidence handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic veterinary skills in lab work, pharmacy, nursing and radiology are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care and frontline support for the medical team.
• Assist with surgical preparation, vaccines, and radiology as needed.
• Enhance client experiences through clear communication and scheduling assistance.
