Job summary

Buckhead Veterinary Clinic in Atlanta seeks a dedicated part-time Veterinary Assistant to support our veterinarians and team with exams, treatments, and routine hospital needs. You will help with patient care, client service, and daily operations, contributing to a collaborative, pet‑centered environment.

The role emphasizes animal handling, clinical support, and strong communication to educate clients and ensure smooth clinic workflow.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• CVT/RVT/LVT certification preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
• AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Buckhead Veterinary Clinic is a compassionate small-animal practice in Atlanta dedicated to providing thoughtful, high-quality care to dogs and cats. We're looking for a part-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team and help support our doctors and veterinary team with patient care, client service, and day-to-day hospital needs. Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
