Job summary

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University seeks a full-time faculty member in Anesthesiology within the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and LVMC. Responsibilities include teaching, clinical service, and program development.

Start date negotiable; ACVAA/ECVAA residents encouraged to apply. Clinical duties include weekends and after-hours coverage; start date January 1, 2027 is a proposed date.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree is required.
• Completion of ACVAA or ECVAA residency before first day of employment is required.
• Iowa veterinary license must be obtained on or before first day.

Responsibilities

• Teach didactic and laboratory courses in veterinary anesthesiology.
• Provide clinical training for technicians and house officers.
• Develop programs in scholarship, teaching, and outreach in anesthesiology.
• Provide clinical duties including weekends, holidays, and after-hours service.
