UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital seeks a Small Animal Patient Care Assistant to support world-leading faculty clinicians and technicians. Work with licensed staff to teach the next generation of veterinarians while serving animals and pet owners in our community.

Position supports patient care and service duties with 50% time, on-site in Davis, CA. Employment involves standing for long periods, weekend shifts, and adherence to hospital protocols. Benefits include CE, PTO and more.

Qualifications

• Experience using safe animal handling and restraint techniques for a wide variety of small animal patients.
• Interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people including clients, clinicians, students and staff.
• No minimum education required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants and Veterinarians with prescribed medical treatments.
• Monitor patient vital functions and maintain hospital area cleanliness and inventory.
