Qualifications

• DVM (or MD/PhD) with advanced knowledge and demonstrated aptitude in gross anatomy instruction.
• Documented scholarly record or potential to develop innovative scholarly activities in anatomy/pedagogy.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching for Associate/Professor rank.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collegially in a diverse community.
• Preferred: experience teaching large classes and use of modern anatomical instructional technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate instruction of veterinary anatomy at gross and topographic levels with a clinical focus.
• Participate in laboratories, lectures and discussions in the DVM curriculum with vertical integration goals.
• Develop course materials and teaching tools for anatomy instruction.
• Prepare examination materials.
• Instruct and supervise anatomy staff in material preparation and course organization.
• Engage in continuing professional education.
