The role requires veterinary pathology board certification and formal pathology training, with opportunities to engage in scientific presentations and manuscripts.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree required.
• Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists or European College of Veterinary Pathologists required.

Responsibilities

• Perform microscopic evaluation and interpretation of tissue sections; correlate with necropsy and clinical findings.
• Author comprehensive pathology reports within deadlines.
• Supervise necropsies and guide necropsy technicians for accuracy and protocol compliance.
• Communicate significance of findings to study directors, clients and others.
• Participate in histopathology consultations and peer reviews.
